A stay at Auas is not only relaxing but also interesting and entertaining. Numerous activities are possible and offered on 12.000 hectares of land on the lodge. You can choose between discovering the landscape alone on a hiking trail or on a guided tour. It is delightful to embark on an individual walk with the aim to discover Africa's natural splendour. In order to avoid danger and, mainly, to hike in the most beautiful scenery we have laid out several hiking trails and mapped them. The scope ranges between hiking trails for 30 minutes or over several hours. On our guided game drives you will be taken out to see huge herds of all antelope species in closest proximity. You will be able to view zebras, gnus, giraffes, baboons, ostriches, jackals and with a bit of luck, the cheetah or a leopard. You will experience all animals in their natural habitat and behaviour since Auas is neither a "zoo" nor a touristy game park and all animals live on our land naturally. Our guided quad-tours are an attraction! You will be taken to spots in four-wheel quad-bikes which cannot be reached by 4x4 vehicles. You will decide for how long you want to drive and where to make a stopover, e.g., on a hill in order to enjoy the breathtaking panorama view with a picnic being served to you as you break-away. Auas is a paradise for bird lovers, most of all. The diversity of bird species cannot be matched anywhere else - so go on and enjoy the discovery! |
